I bought my first bike here 40 years ago, so I really wanted to like the place....but I just can't. They weren't helpful when I went to buy a bike last year, I had a flat a half block from their store, so I bought a tube and they wouldn't let me use their air hose.....now I need a major repair and they said they were too busy and I should take it somewhere else. So I did....and will continue to do so.
Helpful and informative--even over the phone. They won't incur unnecessary work or costs.
I am surprised to read bad reviews about this place. We have bought all of our bikes from Browns for over 20 years.
I also found this bike shop to be very frustrating. They did a lot of work, i did not request on my bicycle, and ended up being a huge headache.
They are wonderful.
Respectfully stay away from this shop. Period.
Bought a new children's bike for my daughter here. Very friendly, helpful staff. They made adjustments to my son's bike while we were waiting for new bike. Will go back for next bike upgrade.
