Lovely cafe environment, with a delicious european flair. Alexander and his staff are welcoming and generous. I have enjoyed most everything on the menu and my favorite afternoon snack is toasted artisan bread topped with finely chopped egg and avocado with a squeeze of lemon.
Soups are hearty, intense with flavors of pumpkin or watercress or tomato or root vegetables and delicate spices.
I used to live in Beverly and was always on the search for the one-stop breakfast/lunch spot...never satisfied until Tartine moved in. Not to mention, it's the perfect setting to have a meeting or get some work done. I try to have as many business lunches here as I can.
One of my favorite restaurants in downtown Beverly. Their open faced sandwiches are delicious and can also be served gluten free. The soups are amazing as are the desserts. Soups and some desserts are also gluten free.
Their espresso drinks are unmatched to the rest of the places downtown and the quality level of their food / ingredients puts them at the top for the BEST ... easily!
If that doesn't do it for you, the owners are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet and take great care in their unique business model and sourcing the ingredients for their food. Love this place.
I don't normally go out of my way to review businesses, but this is worth it. Can't say enough good about this place!
I emailed the owner Alex ahead to let.him know I would have a large group coming in. They don't take reservations but we were able yo get tables for our party of 10. Everyone loved it. Coffee was fab.
The prices are a bit over the top, and I would prefer a side salad that had sweeter greens other than the bitter frisee which accompany the delicate lettuce. And a bit more dressing would be welcome.
You will enjoy this spotless, artfully simple cafe. And you will always feel welcome.
Loved the goat and fig tartine with potato and leek soup for brunch. My wife got the quiche Loraine and I’ve never tasted a better one - so rich and gooey, yet light. The service was great and the shop and restrooms were impeccably clean.
