I gave it a three because I love the doctors they're always great which is of course the most important thing, however scheduling appts is a horror show. It's usually ladies that answer the phone and my god are they rude, I work in a medical practice so I'm extend my understanding and nice on the phone, I however wasn't able to schedule an extremely important appt today to get my birth control taken out to start a family, because the women on the phone clearly just wanted me off the phone and had no interest and giving good customer service. I write this review because I love this practice and it deserves better client care coordinators.

After a careful research and confirmed coverage from my insurance I've made an appointment to get a procedure done at the Danvers location based on the codes the billing department and information provided to me by their staff. Behold, a month after I get the bill! After an hour long phone call, the "supervisor" denied giving me any false iformation and like a broken record continued to refute that it was done give there's a specific record of it. This place billed my insurance under the wrong code and refused to fix it. My provider covered the procedure 100% would it have been billed under a correct code....now I am stuck with 100% on me. Not only there is a record of this happening at the facility, my insurance has the same info as I've called to confirm the coverage with the codes the facility provided me with. It's absolutely INCOMPETENT and undermining of the customer, not to mention, dishonest. As diligent as I have been to confirm and cover all my bases prior to, it still happened...So, beware, as this establishment bills inconsistently and does not have your best interests at heart. It couldn't have been easier than 1 minute to fix the error than to cover up and deny your culpability in the error.
I had a great experience with Essex County, particular the Liberty Tree Mall Office, during my pregnancy and delivery. All staff were courteous and competent and I never felt rushed. They are also very welcoming of children if you need to bring them to your appointments. In particular, midwife Catherine Chalmers was incredibly supportive and encouraging. She helped me have the best labor and delivery experience with my daughter that I could have asked for.
