I am UTTERLY DISGUSTED with the POOR service my husband received at this florist today. We have lived in Beverly for 7 years. In that 7 years my husband has bought me some really adorable arrangements and surprised me with them at work. Well today he intended to do the same and was disappointed by the poor quality of the current inventory (5-8-17) and asked for a discount. When he was denied he merely stated the quality of the flowers was poor and at that point some rude woman I can only assume to be the owner and/or manager rudely yelled at him to get out of her store and that she was calling the police. His response was "Call them...I haven't done anything!" (She did this IN FRONT of my 5 and 10 yr old children.) She picked up the phone called the police and said "Yes hi, I have a customer that wont leave my store.." to which my husband laughed and said, "Don't worry lady I wont ever come here again!" and with that he and my children left.
I just had the opportunity of working at Ward's for the mothers day mad rush, and there isn't enough wonderful things I could say about my experience there. It was my first time working with flowers but I am a flower freak so I was so excited to start. Everyone was incredibly nice to me while I was there for the last 2 weeks. I didn't get a cold shoulder from one person there! They put me to work and I got to learn so many different things about flowers I've never known. Everyone was open to helping me when I needed it or had a question, everyone had smiles on their face and we all shared nice conversation everyday. I have to say though, I can't remember working that fast and that hard before! I mean I have but in totally different ways. I was used to teaching children with autism. Lol. But this was manual labor and I learned something new about myself in those 2 weeks. I learned that I really and truly loved manual labor! So I have alot to be thankful for from these people who so kindly took me into their home and their families. Not only do they have the best flowers around but they are so kind and so welcoming to visitors. They even allowed me to take home some of the flowers they couldn't use in their displays, so by the end of the week, my home was covered with beautiful beautiful flowers! And the smell in my house! It was amazing! It smelled so yummy! If u closed ur eyes you honestly felt as if you were laying in a field of these flowers. Amazing. So, Wards is the real deal. The flowers are not only amazingly beautiful but so are the people that work there. Love always Johanna Frazier
Great local family business, they've always done right by me!
Solid florist store with helpful staff and a wide selection of flowers as well as services. They were quite kind in helping us figure out arrangements.
Side Note: This used to be our preferred florist being that my parents frequented that place over the years. However, We have done the majority of business at Curran's in Danvers since about 2013 as the quality in flower freshness definitely has been noted...I know quite a few locals who would say the same. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY on people who don't care about the quality of their products. As a local entrepreneur I would NEVER put out questionable product, nor would I ever treat a customer with such disrespect
not so great--called to discuss a floral arrangement and got answering service. All they could tell me is to call back later and they may be available. Would to love to see a business that actually takes calls from their customers again--the good old days!:))
