This moving company is horrendous. We were told when we received our quote that if we were to move what we could the price would go down. We spent 2 days moving all lamps, all artwork all kitchen contents, everything in all closets, and 3 dozen boxes. Bear in mind as you read the rest of this that the price went UP $400. The movers places two mats with spikes (that go under office chairs on rugs) facing up in random hallway. I was walking didn't see mats and fell putting 2 dozen holes in my bottom forearm and palm. Bleeding everywhere I brushed it off thinking mistakes happen. Then they tried to move a huge couch by my new 42 inch plasma. The space was so small they should have moved the tv but didn't and the tv smashed everywhere. They took 45 min to back a truck into a parking spot at my new place. 45min they wanted me to pay for!! Now their unloading the truck into my new place.I have 2 $450 office book cases 6 mos old, the was one shelf broken off of each one. Broken to the point where I can't even put them back on. Then the brought in my daughters brand new $400 book case that matched her bedroom set and the entire back panel was cracked and the trim on the side was split also. The took an hour to put together my dining table. A table that the jordans furniture men set up in ten min. I had to assemble my vanity after searching for 2 hours for the screws. Then to top it all off they took me to court because I refused to pay. This is a horrible terrible company. No sorry no nothing from them. Stay away!!!

There are many companies in the US that will provide moving services, after my experience with Tobin and Sons I can now say they are the worst there is as a moving company. The reason I chose them for my relocation was because their promotional package was included within the binder of the the company who hired me. I already made sure Tobin and Sons contact information its removed from the company binder so anyone will have to suffer as my wife and I did. Richard Giordano which happens to be the most important person this company has, he only answered the phone till the day I signed the estimate, he never returned my phone calls even after several messages were left in his voicemail. His assistant Heather was the person who I had to deal with which was the same as talking to a brick-wall. The best thing I can tell you about them is to NOT trust their estimate, When I quoted with multiple companies, they where one of the higher quotes (not by too much), I chose them because they seemed trustful and was in the binder... They came home for pickup 5 hours late of the scheduled time, they picked up everything and did not collected any money till the day of delivery. With their poor communication skills, they did not called to let me know the "estimate" was way off the final price... and I never found this out until on delivery day the driver calles to process payment and the amount they tried to charge was almost 1000 DOLLARES MORE. There was nobody to fight against, I had two options, to pay the amount on the estimate plus 10% and all the rest within 30 days in order to get my furniture or choose not to pay and they will take everything back with them to store until I changed my mind and if I didnt everything would go to auction. I have to say they had everything so well planned, its complitely felt like extorsion. I have learned my lesson, and I am advising you before you go though the same misstake.
